We specialize in civil engineering design including grading, paving, subgrade, water, sewer, and storm drainage to move a project from conception through construction for residential, commercial, H&H Modeling, and municipal development.
Historically, Engineers design projects and Construction Companies build them, which leaves a disconnect between the design intent and actual constructability of the engineering design. This disconnect can put Owners and Developers at risk for change orders due to overlooked details between these two disciplines. The leadership team at Hanna Surveying and Engineering, LLC not only has a vast background in Engineering and Land Surveying but has spent years in the Heavy Civil Construction Market, including starting and managing a Texas Office for a nationwide Civil Contractor. Let us provide a constructability review including recommendations for Value Engineering Alternatives for your projects prior to advertising for bids.
Hanna Surveying and Engineering provides all land surveying services for engineers, architects, developers, municipalities, governmental agencies and private property owners.
Boundary surveying and platting is typically done to buy, sell and subdivide land. This type of surveying requires research on previous deeds and plats to retrace previous surveys. Once the boundary survey is completed we can facilitates the platting process with the proper jurisdiction.
The foundation of every project and development is started with a land survey. A topographical survey locates and records the physical features of the site including the topography, utility appurtenances, paving, previous improvements, and trees. This survey will set the basis of the future development identifying building finished floor grades, proposed surface drainage patterns, utility connections along with all other surface features that need to be coordinated spatially in the design phase of the project.
Once design plans are completed the construction surveying begins. Hanna Surveying and Engineering, LLC can provide construction surveying services for setting horizontal and vertical project control, staking for building corners, form board surveys, utility alignment staking, paving staking and easement staking to aid in construction phase services.
An ALTA Survey or NSPS Title Survey is a detailed land parcel map, showing all existing improvements of the property, utilities, and significant observations within the insured estate. This type of survey also details the licensed surveyor's findings concerning the property boundaries and how they relate to the title. While boundary surveys show the boundary lines between land parcels, they do not typically show all improvements on the property and surrounding the property. An ALTA survey can also show means of access to the property, the zoning classification for the property, and the flood zone classification for the property.
Drainage specific surveys incorporate topographical surveys with utility surveys in order to develop how rainfall is transported in shallow overland flow and is collected in both open channel and underground drainage systems. These types of surveys can be performed as small as on a residential level to alleviate constant flooding up to developing surveys for entire drainage basins.
The leadership team at Hanna Surveying and Engineering, LLC not only has a vast background in Engineering and Land Surveying but has spent years in the Heavy Civil Construction Market, including starting and managing a Texas Office for a nationwide Civil Contractor. In this role Mr. Hanna was responsible for the estimating team, who bid around $1B dollars per year of projects out of the Texas office alone.
As technology and equipment have advanced, the ability to take 3-dimensional surfaces from engineering design and plug them directly into heavy equipment has become the standard. Hanna Surveying and Engineering, LLC can provide 3-dimensional construction modeling for your next excavation and earthmoving project.
